coda is an upcoming unofficial Evangelion zine for charity. This zine is a tribute to the Evangelion series coming to an end. All proceeds will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).The zine will be released digitally and in print, along with merchandise.
We are looking for 30 artists, 5 writers, and 3 merch artists.
Zine Specifications
Half letter (5.5" x 8.5"), full color, perfect bound
Digital and physical
Merch: Prints (5" x 7"), sticker sheets, charms (stretch goal)
Contributor Expectations
Page artists are expected to complete one half letter piece (5.5" x 8.5") at 300 dpi in CMYK with bleed. There will be a limited number of spots for spreads. Please note interest in doing a spread when applying!
Merch artists are expected to complete one piece of merchandise of the following: a mini print (5" x 7") or a sticker sheet (5" x 7"). As charms are a stretch goal, they will be discussed individually. All pieces will be at 300 dpi in CMYK.
Fic artists are expected to complete one spread art or other art accompanying a fic. Additional specifics about dimensions and format will be communicated once artists are matched with authors.
Templates will be provided for page and fic art, prints, and sticker sheets.
Writers are expected to complete one fic roughly between 1.5k - 2.5k words in length. Writers will have the option to be paired with an artist who will do page illustrations.

You must be at least 13 to apply as a contributor.
All contributors are required to have a Discord account. All communication will be on the zine's server for organization and simplicity.
We are looking for page artists, fic artists, merch artists, and writers.
Artist
You must be 13 or older to apply for this position.
When applying, we will be asking you to provide a portfolio of sample work.
Your portfolio must include a minimum of three finished pieces.
Your portfolio can be a Google Drive folder, an art blog, or any other form of shareable link. As long as we can access it easily and see your pieces, it's fine!
For page and fanfic artists, examples of fully rendered pieces with backgrounds are strongly recommended in your portfolio. At least one full-body illustration is recommended as well.
For merch artists, we require previous examples of merch of the type you would like to create for the zine.
It's strongly recommended that at least one of your samples is related to Evangelion! This will allow us to see how you characterize and illustrate the cast.

Writer
You must be 13 or older to apply for this position.
When applying, we will be asking you to provide a portfolio of sample work.
